Alan J. Konigsberg
Alan is a founding member of Levy Konigsberg. He has spent over 30 years representing plaintiffs in complex litigation. Alan oversees the firm's whistleblower or "qui tam" practice. Alan has represented whistleblowers in helping to recover over $72 million for federal and state taxpayers.
Alan is recognized by Super Lawyers, a peer-review publication, as a New York "Super Lawyer." In 2013, Alan was named by U.S. News and World Report as a Lawyer of the Year in the category of plaintiff's product liability litigation. Alan and Levy Konigsberg were featured in an article in New York Magazine for representing a physician-whistleblower who was awarded $14.7 million under the False Claims Act for providing information of Medicaid fraud.
A graduate of St. John's University School of Law, Alan is a member of the New York Bar and admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and multiple U.S. District Courts.
Brendan E. Little
Brendan is an associate at Levy Konigsberg. He focuses his practice on representing whistleblowers under the False Claims Act, SEC, IRS, and state whistleblower laws. Brendan has experience in complex cases involving violations of the physician self-referral ("Stark") laws and Anti-Kickback Statute, as well as cases involving violations of the Medicare and Medicaid regulations. He also focuses on cases involving violations of the regulations that govern the federal student aid programs ("Title IV regulations").
Brendan graduated with honors from Washington University Law School in St. Louis. While in law school, Brendan was an Associate Editor for the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy.
Following law school, Brendan completed a clerkship for U.S. District Judge Carol E. Jackson in the Eastern District of Missouri. He has also worked in the Litigation Division of the New York State Attorney General's Office.
Brendan is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Washington State. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the District of New Jersey.
Michael J. DeRienzo
Michael is an associate at Levy Konigsberg. He focuses his practice on representing whistleblowers under the False Claims Act, SEC and IRS Whistleblower Programs, and State Whistleblower Provisions. Michael has experience in complex cases involving Medicare and Medicaid regulations and Procurement fraud. He also focuses on cases involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Michael graduated from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Michael clerked for a whistleblower protection law firm and a whistleblower protection advocacy group and was asked to consult with multiple attorney associations regarding national law student involvement. Following law school, Michael was an associate at another whistleblower firm.
Michael is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey as well as the United States Districts Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
